So far I really love it. I was skeptical to get it because of the price but I have fallen in love with this device. It fits really well into my writing routine, the battery life is good, and the keyboard is quiet which I like. It attracts a lot of finger prints, but that's not something that bother me

I’m obsessed with this tiny but mighty device. I can write for hours on this—getting into the flow—without interruption. It was easy to set up, use, save drafts, and transfer my work to my computer. What I love is that I can use the arrow keys and go to a line I want to edit without deleting anything. It also allows me to save multiple projects that I’m working. It’s lightweight, and I can’t wait to travel with it. Every writer will find this device useful and convenient.

I really like this device. When I first got it, I didn't expect to use it to its full capabilities. I thought it would be another device for me to zero-draft on, but I have been drafting short stories and editing them, and it's safe to say I'm obsessed.

I also love that it's such a discreet device without obvious branding, but it's still a conversation piece. I wish I could speak on the battery, but I haven't done my ultimate test yet, which is ten thousand words in twenty-four hours, because I'm not actively drafting a novel. However, I've used it for hours at a time, and the battery didn't decrease too much.

It would be nice if I knew the exact percentage, but it only shows the bar. Either way, I think one of my favorite features is the ability to save to an SD card, but my MacBook does not recognize it when plugged in—could be a skill issue.

Anyway, back to the device.

One of my favorite features is the outline, full stop. I haven't tried to write a full novel using it like I said, but it's been great for planning my short. One could even split the doc into sections to easily navigate it. This feature alone would've been a game-changer back in college.

In addition to the outline feature, you can view two editable documents side-by-side, and it’s fairly easy to switch back and forth. It also has a dark mode for those who can’t handle a glaring white page.

I don't know if it can send directly to a printer, and quite frankly, I don't care to find out because I can just send the doc anywhere from the app, including my printer. I’m also curious about future accessories and updates, but mainly accessories. I sewed my own bag for this, but I’d love options that I don’t have to make.

Overall, I’ve had this product for less than a month, but I love it and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a digital typewriter.

While the Pomera DM250US uses an LCD screen and not e-ink, it’s crisp and responsive, and even offers inverted contrast (white on black) for typing at night. On top of that, it has a wide array of features – all centering on writing – that make it a full-on word processor instead of being limited to first drafts.

Some of my favorites are its expandable storage, multiple ways to save, back-up, and retrieve files, font choice and text size, remappable function keys to match your workflow. The keyboard is a little compact but is still easy to use.

This is a purpose-built machine for a very targeted audience. Since it’s a word processor and only a word processor, it has an exceptional focus on delivering on that experience. If I could ask for anything, it would be a scissor or mechanical keyboard (or the ability to connect a Bluetooth keyboard) and a front-lit e-ink screen. A future version maybe? Either way, this is a great little device that inspires me to write where I usually wouldn’t. I love it and recommend it to anyone that thinks a distraction-free writing device might be the right choice for them.
