Write. Only.

At pomera, we believe that writing should be simple, intentional, and free from distraction. Our philosophy is rooted in creating a digital sanctuary—where every detail serves one purpose: to help you write with clarity.

The Origin of pomera

Before pomera, our team relied on bulky laptops to take notes during meetings. Heavy chargers, short battery life, and constant notifications made it hard to focus. We asked ourselves: What if there were a compact device, no larger than an electronic dictionary, with a clear display and a full keyboard—designed only for writing?

That question became the starting point for pomera. From the very first model, we pursued one unwavering idea: eliminate the unnecessary and refine only what matters.

Why We Chose Writing Over Everything Else

In a world where devices constantly compete for attention, writers needed the opposite. Smartphones and laptops provide countless features—but at the cost of focus. Pomera was born to solve this gap. By removing browsers, apps, and notifications, we created a tool where words—not distractions—take center stage.

Our Core Philosophy

If we had to express our guiding principle in one phrase, it would be: uncompromising simplicity. We never add functions that dilute the writing experience. Instead, we sharpen the essential ones—like keyboard comfort, instant startup, and long-lasting battery life—so that the device disappears, and only your words remain.

Hardware & Design Values

Every part of pomera reflects its philosophy:

Keyboard Feel – Quiet but satisfying keystrokes tuned for long writing sessions.

Instant Start – Open the device and begin typing within seconds.

Battery Endurance – Around 20 hours per charge, built for deep work.

Portability – Compact and lightweight, always ready to travel.

Pomera is not a gadget. It’s a writing instrument—like a favorite pen you never leave behind.

Software That Stays Out of the Way

We built software features that empower writing but never overwhelm:

Scenario Mode for outlining stories and scripts.

File transfer tools that are simple and reliable.

Customization like key settings and calendars, carefully balanced to avoid clutter.

Everything in pomera is designed to support writing—not complicate it.

Global Vision

For the US model DM250US, we refined every detail for English-speaking writers. From a carefully tested keyboard layout to natural English UI, pomera was built to feel native. Our goal: to give writers everywhere the same focused experience Japanese users have cherished for over a decade.

A Message from the Developers

Pomera began as a simple wish: a digital notebook that anyone could carry. Over time, it became a trusted tool for journalists, novelists, and everyday thinkers. Today, with DM250US, we are honored to bring this philosophy to the world. We hope pomera becomes your digital sanctuary—where words flow without distraction.
